Psychological intervention for human problems, using the internet, has taken on a new approach. With the addition of visual conversation across the world has come a new era for the client and therapist interaction.

The therapist is now able to see, not just listen to, the patient. Now there is extended far greater insight into errant behavior patterns. The visual aspect now available for solving psychological problems on the internet is invaluable.

It is my opinion that more and more intervention for human problems will be conducted over the Internet. Further, online techniques will be developed that will expand many of the old tired methods of the past.

The Psychological techniques used to change behavior on the Internet do rely heavily on tried and proven Psychological procedures. However, the added advantages of being able to have contact with, and get advice from, the therapist at any time of the day or night makes a huge difference to therapy outcomes. The client is never more than a visual phone call away from help. Such proximity can often be the difference between success and failure in a treatment plan.

My Personal Background Interests

My interest in Marketing on the Internet was a gradual process and in the last five years has developed into running an Internet home business for minimum cost. The Internet marketplace is a wonderful platform to work upon but there are inherent dangers that must be avoided. However, the Internet offers those that want to run a niche shopfront the cheapest and most profitable entry into business life possible.

The Internet marketplace is massive, with thousands of prospective customers comming online everyday. For me such a place was too facinating to resist. Hence for the last 5 years, beside fishing and tennis, Internet marketing has been my center of interest. My experiences with Internet Marketing Dangers can be seen in the index above.

For me an interest in human behaviour began much earlier and really sharpened with the study of fear for my PhD. The use of cognitive behaviour theory which began in the late 60’s advanced Psychology in huge leaps.

During this period it was shown that the mind is greatly responsible for most of the problems in human behavior. Indeed, solutions for maladaptive behaviors, for the large part today, are sought in the cognitions of the client.

My experience with the lowering of fear in the individual is easily extended to most of the problems that confront people in everyday life. Weight loss for example depends largely on putting the mind into the right frame.

Dependency problems as in the addiction to all types of drugs and alcohol begin with the physical addiction but I firmly believe such problems are held in place by the covert dialogues that are entertained by the individual concerned.
